Internationalization

There is a commitment to seeking and maintaining relationships involving faculty from this and other institutions that contribute to improving the activities of the PPGN/UFSC.

Thus, at UFSC itself, we maintain partnerships with the Departments of Clinical Analysis, Biochemistry, Food Science and Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Medicine, Ecology and Zoology, Physical Education, Pharmacology, Dentistry and Public Health.

At the local level, we have partnerships with the Health, Social Development and Education Departments of the City of Florianópolis; with the Health and Education Departments of the State of Santa Catarina, with the Social Service of Commerce (SESC-SC) and the Social Service of Industry (SESI-SC), as well as with community and philanthropic associations.

At the national level, we work in collaboration with the Schools of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Public Health of the University of São Paulo (USP); with the School of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto/USP; with the Department of Physiology of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), with the Department of Nutrition of the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV); with the National School of Public Health of the Oswaldo Cruz Institute Foundation (ENSP-FIOCRUZ), with the School of Food Engineering of the State University of Campinas (FEA/UNICAMP) and with EMBRAPA (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation). Within the federal government, we also have partnerships with the Ministries of Social Development, Education and Health, especially with the National Fund for the Development of Education (FNDE), the General Coordination of Food and Nutrition, and the National Health Surveillance Agency.

In the international sphere, the PPGN encourages the training of its students and professors, as well as the establishment of partnerships with researchers and research centers abroad. As a result, partnerships with foreign professors and agreements with international institutions have been established. These international partnerships and trainings expand the possibilities for publications and joint projects, favoring the growth and strengthening of the faculty, the visibility of academic production and the impact of PPGN research.
